Tanzania is and has always been a secure and tranquil countryside, and its unrivaled reputation for safaris is well-deserved. Tanzania is also home to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed around three million years ago.

This trip, with our Remarkable Transformer Eugen Malley, takes you to experience what is arguably the greatest wildlife spectacle in Africa, the migration of two million wildebeest across the Serengeti Plains. You may even have a chance to see these ungulates negotiate river crossings as they move in search of greener grass. During the dry season (when this trip is scheduled for), the Ngorongoro Crater is always full of wildlife, and Tarangire National Park is packed with thirsty elephants, some of the largest herds in Africa.

But this trip is not just about witnessing these awesome animals. Before heading off on your safari, you will have the opportunity to spend time with the local community and learn some traditional cooking, visit children at an orphanage or at a school and take part in a drum dance. And on day ten, you will also get to visit the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true nomadic tribes in Africa and join them for their daily morning activities. The activities with the tribe can either be joining the men in their daily hunting, or the women in their fruit gathering session. In either of them, you will learn alot about the Hadzabe way of living. This experience is very unique to Eugen’s trips and he promises it will be a highlight of your trip.
