Overview

Ireland is a small country, located in the North Atlantic Ocean. Geopolitically, it is divided between the Republic of Ireland (officially named Ireland), which covers five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. The island is renowned worldwide as an enchanting land of epic green landscape, idyllic scenery and medieval castles; where warmth and hospitality are national traits and poets are national heroes.

Designed by our Remarkable Transformer, Feargal Doherty, this trip will have you hiking biking, paddle boarding, horse riding, kayaking and surfing from Dublin to Donegal, with the most stunning coastlines and lush mountains as your backdrop.

Setting off in Co. Antrim, you will cycle the Giant’s Causeway coastal route and marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage Site from a different perspective, followed by an (optional) visit to the famous Bushmills Distillery to sample the smoothness of their famous whiskey.

The next day, you’ll take a short bus trip to Dunfanaghy and ride the Wild Atlantic Way on horseback. You can either gallop, canter, trot or simply lead your horse along the majestic blue flag golden beach and all the while learning about Equine Assisted Personal Development.

On day three, you can sit back and enjoy the scenic bus trip along the Wild Atlantic Coast to Strand Hill, Co. Sligo. Here, you will experience the healing nutrients of the saltwater and raw energy of the Atlantic ocean, by surfing or bodyboarding (whether you’re a beginner or improver) on Ireland’s best beach break. You will have the option to visit Voya Seaweed Baths (depending on availability) or purchase fresh seawater and wild, organic seaweed which you can use to unwind, destress and detox with in the comfort of your accommodation.

On day four, the trip continues with a short bus journey to Ireland’s only Fjord, where you will be awestruck by the rugged beauty of Connemara, the peaks of Mweelrea to the north, and the hills of Connemara national park encompass the south. With the Killary Fjord further inland, it’s the perfect spot to get moving again by paddleboarding or kayaking on the calm water.

The final day will bring you to the Wicklow Mountains for a hike in Glendalough, the Spink and Glenealo Valley Route, which is left mostly untouched and natural, and winds up nicely in Dublin to have your last meal and pint of the black stuff (Guinness) poured by your own hand. It’s trickier than it looks!
